On a 60 franc order delivered by a platform, a significant share never comes back to you. But the heaviest cost is not there.
It is taken on every order, on revenue you produced with your own kitchen and your own staff.
Their name, their number, their habits, how often they come: it all stays with the platform. You cannot call them back, keep them, or write to them.
Not who delivers, not what state the dish arrives in, not the waiting time. The guest judges your restaurant on a service that is not yours.
A radius around the restaurant, a minimum order value, delivery fees you set yourself. An address outside the zone is refused before the order is even placed.
Distance is measured by road, not as the crow fliesHe picks delivery at checkout, enters his address and pays by card or TWINT. The order lands in the same flow as those from the dining room.
The delivery ticket carries the address and a QR code to scan. The kitchen only starts cooking once payment is confirmed.
Your riders have their own access, separate from the servers'. The rider scans the ticket, takes the run, and the order switches to “on the way”.
Several orders from the same area can go out on one runA tracking link is sent to them at payment. They see the state of their order, confirmed, being prepared, on the way, and the rider's position on a map.
That is what the platforms offer. You offer it too, under your own name.Starting delivery does not mean building a fleet. A tight radius, a few evenings a week, one person on the road, and then you adjust based on what you see.
No extra subscription, no delivery commission: if you do not deliver this week, it costs you nothing.
They are your staff or your contractors, not strangers. You decide who represents your restaurant at the guest's door.
The guest's number is yours. You can tell them it is ready, call them back, write to them. They order from you, not from an app.
Delivery adds nothing to what you already pay. It falls under the Qaro commission, payment fees included.
